The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the largest set of poker tournaments in the world. It is held annually in Las Vegas, and since 2007 has consisted of 55 events, of which all but the “Main Event” are finished in just over a month.
The winner of each event wins a World Series of Poker bracelet and a prize based on the number of entrants. Most of the major poker variants are featured, though in recent years over half of the events have been variants of Texas hold ‘em.
The series culminates with the $10,000 no-limit hold’em “Main Event”, which since 2004 has attracted entrants numbering in the thousands, with the victor receiving a multi-million dollar prize.

December 29th, 2009 at 3:28 am
I’ve heard he moved to England before winning so he could keep all of it.. But don’t know if it’s true
December 30th, 2009 at 11:22 am
he smiles several times throughout the interview
December 30th, 2009 at 10:42 pm
he’s probably more internal… smiling on the inside
January 2nd, 2010 at 3:23 pm
i guess he is left with 6 mill out of the 9. That’s a good enough reason to move to monaco or something right before the final table.
January 6th, 2010 at 3:15 am
wtf is up with him.. hes got 9 mill and nothing ***…. smile
January 8th, 2010 at 9:15 am
not that hard to hear, if u just listen.-.-
January 11th, 2010 at 1:36 am
wtf is he sayin??
January 12th, 2010 at 8:06 pm
i think its cool as **** peter won, cuz phil hellmuth is a ***** *** baby lol. There were a lot of incredible folds on the final table though, demidov folding top 2 against eastgates trips, and that yevon something guy from brooklyn that hustled chess i guess… he folded a king flush to i think demidov’s ace flush.. crazy.. how the **** yo do that?
January 15th, 2010 at 5:18 pm
Okay this guy has nine million dollars in front of him…doesn’t even ***** a smile, don’t you find that weird? Even when he won…he didn’t even ***** a smile…what is up with that? And about Demidov being the one to win, I believe that patience and conserving his stack really confused players and agression lost this battle.
January 16th, 2010 at 12:42 am
the fedor of poker
January 16th, 2010 at 4:38 pm

January 20th, 2010 at 12:45 am
Learn english….cant understand ****!!!!
January 22nd, 2010 at 6:47 pm
demidov should definitely had won considering the way he played and the large chip advantage he had over the night..
good luck to both ivan and peter though and i know that poker will remember their names and achievements for years to come
January 24th, 2010 at 3:38 pm
oh and when i say he i mean demidov…
January 27th, 2010 at 5:58 am
ya i mean,im not putting eastgate down… he was definetely one of the best at the table, just not as good as demidov. he really impressed me there and i think hes gonna be a force to reckoned with. sure he came 3rd in the wsope…pokers all about consistency, thats how great players are measured
January 28th, 2010 at 10:18 pm
u are right…Demidov was clearly the player of the highest calibre in th final table but Peter was a player whith luck, patience, and a very conservative style..I admit that his luck in the final hands and Phillips extremely bad play played a vital role for the outcome
January 31st, 2010 at 6:53 pm
